Day 4 - Daily Task - The Answer

The Daily Task for Day 4 is now closed!

Debbie and Dudu were absolutely shocked to find that 99% of you underestimated the amount of candies in the vase, often by quite a huge margin!

Well done to everyone whose guesses were close to the correct amount. And don't worry if yours wasn't, there are still many chances to build your points total before the Grand Prize Draw on August 13.

Check back later to see the up-to-date scoreboard and to find out who made the best guess and scooped the $75 iTunes voucher!

The next Scavenger Hunt Daily Task is Sunday so, until then, Shabbat Shalom!

Day 4 - Daily Task - Candies In A Vase!

Welcome to Day 4 on the Scavenger Hunt!

Today's Daily Task is our first graded activity, meaning that the better you perform, the more points you earn! This is a great chance for those people who have less points than they'd like to do some catching up!

Debbie and Dudu have taken their favorite vase and stuffed it full of Israeli candies. Your task is simply to guess how many candies they managed to fit in.

Click here to see a clearer image of the candy-packed vase on our Facebook page. Enter your guess as a comment underneath the picture on Facebook, not here on the blog.

If your guess is within 10 of the correct answer, you will earn 5 points.
If your guess is 11-25 away, you will earn 4 points.
If your guess is 26-50 away, you will earn 3 points.
If your guess is 51-75 away, you will earn 2 points.
If your guess is 76-150 away, you will earn 1 point.

Today's Daily Prize is a $75 iTunes voucher! It will be awarded to the person who guesses closest to the actual number of candies in the vase. In the event of a tie, the prize will be split equally amongst all winners.

Good luck and don't forget to check back later to find out exactly how many candies are in the vase!

Day 3 - Daily Prize Update!

The scores have now been updated for Day 3 and can be viewed here:

Debbie and Dudu have been deliberating all day about which of your favorite foods is the yummiest! It seems a lot of you like Shwarma, Felafel, Shakshuka and Sabich!

Dudu was tempted to choose the McDonalds Chicken Nuggets or the Big Mac, but Debbie pointed out that they could hardly be called Israeli or Jewish food!

So in the end, Debbie got to decide and she went for her personal favorite, the Israeli breakfast, as suggested by...

Daniel J. Sieradski

Debbie said "There is nothing more typically Israeli than the Israeli breakfast. It is so healthy and refreshing! The best possible way to start the day!"

So congratulations Daniel! An ROI representative will be in touch shortly to arrange the delivery of your prize, a $50 gift box from Max Brenner chocolates!

See you all later for the next Daily Task!

Day 3 - Daily Task - Bill Clinton Day!

It's Day 3 of the ROI Community Online Scavenger Hunt!

As you may have seen on the blog earlier, Bill Clinton has been a source of support and inspiration to a number of our ROI Community members.

So when the Scavenger Hunt hosts, Debbie and Dudu, just happened to bump into Bill in the street, they were only too happy to let him introduce today's Daily Task! Watch this video to see what happened...

Today's Daily Task is to work out what Bill Clinton's favorite Israeli food is, based on the clues he gave in the video.

Once you think you know the answer, head over to the ROI Community Facebook Page where we have uploaded 4 photos of popular Israeli foods.

To earn the 2 Scavenger Hunt Points, leave a comment stating YOUR favorite Israeli/Jewish food on the photo of the food that you think is Bill Clinton's favorite!

Today's Daily Prize is a delicious gift box from Max Brenner Chocolates, worth $50! It will be awarded to the person who suggests the most delicious Israeli/Jewish food item, according to Debbie & Dudu!

Good luck everyone!

Day 3 - Meet The ROIers - Bill Clinton Day

On this day in 1994, Former President Bill Clinton presided over the signing of the Washington Declaration, which heralded the start of negotiations between Israel and Jordan, culminating in the signing of a peace treaty in October that same year.

Since leaving office in 2001, Bill Clinton has involved himself in various issues of global importance, and a number of our ROI Community members have been lucky enough to meet and gain inspiration from him:

Shawn Landres is the CEO of Jumpstart, a research & design laboratory that the Jerusalem Post declared had "changed the global converstaion about Jewish innovation". Shawn earned his footnote in history when he suggested what went on to become the theme tune to Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign, Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop" (Thinking About Tomorrow).

Eli Winkelman is the founder of Challah for Hunger, which brings people together to bake and sell challah, to raise money for good causes. After presenting Bill Clinton with a foil wrapped challah, Eli merited a mention in Clinton's book "Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World".

Whilst at university in Mexico, Dina Buchbinder-Auron managed the 'Jewish Journeys' program, which enabled students to showcase Jewish life through a variety of creative media. In 2007, she founded 'Deport-es para Compartir' (Sports to Share), a program that uses sport to teach children about important global issues and values.

Ilja Sichrovsky is the Founder and Secretary of the Muslim Jewish Conference (MJC). The third annual MJC was held in Slovakia earlier this month. The conference hosted 106 interfaith young professionals and students, 46 of whom are Muslim, 51 Jewish and 9 from other faiths.
